Conclusion

The TX-32LXD700 is not revolutionary, but it is enough of a leap forward to make it the current leader of the pack. The TX32LXD700 is the best 32in LCD on the market at the moment. HD and SD pictures are the best out there, and you get a credible home cinema sound experience with SRS Trusurround XT on board.

nice when is it out in Aus and expected rrp?

might be able to pick up a 600a cheap now

Not sure....but the new Sharp 32's opened at $2200 with built in HD tuner, but then dropped to $1900 3 weeks later.

2007 is definately going to be the year of the LCD{and plasma for 50in+}.

Also worth mentioning this model,

http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/Panasonic-TX32LXD70/

Sounds like last years model with a nip and tuck.

I simply refuse to buy any 2006 model LCD,....the 07 models are exciting website reviewers and home consumers alike+ the 2008 models should up the ante once more.

It may not be until 2010 that an affordable and viable alternative to 32in LCD's materialize.

The value of the 32 is that it's a good bedroom sized TV, a reasonable size for the PC, and it's SIZE helps cushion the horror of SDTV/FOXTEL.

when and how much??
We'll a straight currency conversion puts it at about $2000. Might be a bit more than that but I assume getting it to the UK and to Oz probably costs about the same amount?

Not sure when, but within a month or 2 would be my guess.

Also, it seems that all name brand 32's with built in HD tuners will be $1750 within weeks of their release.

Although I think it's silly to have a HD tuner when you've got 3 HDMI's.

I've got a bad feeling that any HD ready Panasonic 32's will be the lower spec model.

Native or dynamic ?

Ladies and gentleman, this guy is trolling in this thread......but that aside, the initial reviews for the new high end 32in Panasonic are extremely positive.

Panasonic are using a very high grade panel type with impressive specs.....but it should be pointed out that 32's don't require peak specifications to achieve excellent results, ie, their SIZE hides/compresses defects that will be noticeable on larger bulky tanks like SXRD's.

Also SXRD's are possibly the most unreliable of all large HDTV......and they're definately unproven.

Oh, and you're not trolling?

Is the contrast ratio you have highlighted in bold native or dynamic ?

If it is dynamic, then what is the native contrast ratio ?

A reasonable response to a simple question

"If it's dynamic".....are you now pretending you believe these new 32's have 3x the native CR of your bulky SXRD.

You're trolling, pure and simple.

You're the one who titled this thread "Panasonic 32in Lcd....the Best In The World., TX-32LXD700", and highlighted the specification "8500:1 contrast ratio for deeper blacks".

Do you believe the above contrast ratio to be native or dynamic ?

I know it to be dynamic just as you do Dr Troll.

What other stupid questions have you got up your sleeve.

Then, why have you highlighted the specification that relates it to black level ?

Then, why have you highlighted the specification that relates it to black level ?

So now you're pretending that dynamic CR's have no effect on perceivable black levels?
