procoholic Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Hi Can anyone recommend a center speaker stand I have a Polk CSI5 which is quite large approx 600 wide and fairly heavy I cant seem to find a suitable stand that will properly support the speaker Currently its sitting on the floor however I think it would be better just below the screen I dont wish to fix brackets to the wall as will be selling house soon Any advise or comments? Thanks
Guest JohnA Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 b&w make a centre channel stand for the 800 series which has a tiltable top plate, not cheap though. most stands though should be able to handle a speaker like that so maybe just pop into jb and see what they have

Serpeant Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Would you put the centre speaker on the floor (carpet)? I have the Krix Epicentrix. Would you put the centre speaker on a glass shelf (I am thinking of getting a glass TV stand)?
benthx Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 (edited) Two empty milk crates stacked on top of each other then a sheet of 1/2 inch thick polystyree foam then a slab of granite about 500mm wide and finished off with a dark peice of velour cloth drapering all the way to the floor This will stand about waist high. The speaker sits on top of that of which is just under the screen. Which is a epicentrix as well. Crude, cost effective, sturdy and with the cloth it blends together.
