Is it possible to turn a plasma on its side for 15 minutes to deliver from shop ?

*Possible* Yes....would I do it? Not in a million years.

Seriously if you get that thing home only to find you've ruined it you'll kick yourself. I faced the same decision but ultimately just put things into perspective and got delivery.

Bottom line if the delivery guys wreck the Panel its THEIR fault.

If you somehow wreck it yourself during transit thats an entirely more complex matter that usually ends up with you being stuffed.

Of course you can turn it sideways... the only reason they don't transport them this way is because the glass can break easier when t is horizontal and not vertical. When you transport is sideways, it is best to have the glass side facing down although others may tell you differently. Just drive carefully and everything will be fine. Unlike fridges, you can even turn it on straight away after having it sideways as there is no oil inside a compressor.

I have even heard people in shops tell me before that 'plasma gas' escapes from Plasma TVs when turned sideways... pretty funny.

Have the store you purchased it from deliver the unit.

For a very small fraction of the cost of the Plasma itself, it will be delivered into your house without the concern or risk of you being liable for any damage during transport.

Thats fine. They usually crack between the longest sides.

Look at a glazier truck and how they store glass, that should answer the question.

Usually delivery is around $37, how much was the tv?
