wheresbaz Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Hey guys, Finally moved into new house. Few pics of HT room still a way to go yet i.e curtains, painting and so on. But at least now I am watching movies on my projector and screen. After many late nights researching on this forum and the net my set up is. Sanyo Z4 projector Yamaha RX-V2700 receiver NHT ST4 front speakers NHT SC2 centre NHT IC4 in ceiling rears Thor MKIV subwoofer Denon 2910 DVD player Pics here http://www.dtvforum.info/index.php?act=att...ost&id=2979 http://www.dtvforum.info/index.php?act=att...ost&id=2980 http://www.dtvforum.info/index.php?act=att...ost&id=2981 http://www.dtvforum.info/index.php?act=att...ost&id=2982 Lots of compromises but I am loving it. yamapro Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Well Done Bill Nice clean install mate... no doubt movies are great fun on that lovely PJ screen Thanks for sharing.
wheresbaz Posted April 14, 2007 Author Posted April 14, 2007 Well Done Bill Nice clean install mate... no doubt movies are great fun on that lovely PJ screen Thanks for sharing. Thanks Yamapro, Should have mentioned screen is 90in Screen Technics and seating position 3.8m from screen. I was advised on this forum that 100in screen could be too big from 3.8m. I am really glad I took the advice and went to 90in. Seems just right to me wouldn't want it any bigger from this distance. Cheers Bill
jmos1503559753 Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Gday Bill, goodonya, good to see your HT ready for use. I can see a few noisy and late nights coming up. I like your receiver, its the one I based my $2500 budget on. Happy playing
mgrobins Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 I love that front cabinet and the chairs look really comfy . Good job!
Guest EZYHD Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Wheresbaz, join the neat and tidy HT club!, excellent choice of gear, very well done it looks great IMO.
wheresbaz Posted April 14, 2007 Author Posted April 14, 2007 Thanks Guys, I have some movie posters I bought and want to put on wall. Has anyone made their own frames or know where to buy at reasonable price. Preferable something that is easy to change poster if I want to. Cheers Bill
Guest EZYHD Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Heaps on eBay or Google. We also scanned in some DVD covers in a larger size about A4 then bought some el cheapo black frames at discount store, they look very good. Can also pick up original ilm cells from Grays too, we did this and put LED lights in the walls to show thru them. http://www.cairnshomes.info/page8/files/page8-1001-full.html http://www.graysonline.com.au/catalogue.as...SALE_TYPE=THUMB
brodricj Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 How's the low frequency response with the sub in that position, have you tried shifting it elsewhere?
Spero D. Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Bill great theater. Those chairs are similar to what I am looking for. What chairs are those? How much where they? Are you happy with them? Do you have some closer pictures? And where from please
wheresbaz Posted April 15, 2007 Author Posted April 15, 2007 How's the low frequency response with the sub in that position, have you tried shifting it elsewhere? Hi Beejay, Sounds ok but I haven't played with position or any settings much just haven't had time. But will definately be tweaking when other priorities slow down. Like fences and grass. Bill great theater. Those chairs are similar to what I am looking for. What chairs are those? How much where they? Are you happy with them? Do you have some closer pictures? And where from please Hi Spero, Lounge is from Stallion Design they have showrooms on Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast. It is Theatre Group Classic Black, Grade 10 BV leather(whatever that means). All recliners motorised. I paid $3800 delivered. I am extremely happy with them and would say they are probably biggest wow factor when people sit down to watch movie. I have put a full detail pic here http://www.dtvforum.info/index.php?act=att...ost&id=2985 Cheers Bill

wheresbaz Posted April 15, 2007 Author Posted April 15, 2007 Thanks Bill. I will give them a call. Do you fimd the recline pretty fast or slow as there can be both with motorized? I would say slow but it seems about right to me. Very quiet motors and they have 5yr guarantee. Cheers Bill

Just tried calling them and they don't offer any variations since I am after a straight configuration of 3 with arms between each. Thanks Bill anyway. They sure look nice.

Spero, have you looked at Integral? They handle amongst other things Berkline.
Spero D. Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 Spero, have you looked at Integral? They handle amongst other things Berkline. I emailed them about the Oscar seating to see if that can be motorised and stockists but have not heard back. I'll drop them a call later in the week. Still prefer the look of wheresbaz seats
Spearmint Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 I emailed them about the Oscar seating to see if that can be motorised and stockists but have not heard back. I'll drop them a call later in the week. Yes they can be motorised. Did you check out the configuration page?
c912039 Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 Spero, have you looked at Integral? They handle amongst other things Berkline. I wish they would just use Berkline's product names when displaying the Berkline recliners available via Integral. It would make it a whole lot easier when trying to cross-reference owner opinions on the web about each model. Anyone written up a 'translation' list? Regards David
Spero D. Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 Yes they can be motorised. Did you check out the configuration page? Yes I checked out the configuration but did not see the option for motorized recline for that specific style?
Spearmint Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 Yes I checked out the configuration but did not see the option for motorized recline for that specific style? I've got a four seat configuration of these chairs and mine are all electric. They are very comfortable and smooth operation IMO.

brooksy Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 Hey Baz, very tidy HT and congratulations on the new home. Those recliners do look great. What are you leaning towards colour wise?
wheresbaz Posted April 17, 2007 Author Posted April 17, 2007 Hey Baz, very tidy HT and congratulations on the new home. Those recliners do look great. What are you leaning towards colour wise? Hi Brooksy, Back part of recliners, reclines as well. Very comfy when watching long movie. I am leaning to two different shades of brown. Dark on ceiling and semi dark on walls. Something similar to P.A.James setup which looks great IMO. Cheers Bill
