Guest JohnA Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 As someof you may know i am on the search for a new pre-amplifier i just came across this brand Conrad johnson and it seems to have all the features i require including HT bypass does anyone know of any dealers in Melbourne that may stock it? i did a quick search on the net and found the ct6 has a rrp of $7999 all i need now is to find a stockist to demo it Looked at their website but couldn't find anyting about dealers
betty boop Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 I'm trying to scratch my head as to where have seen conrad johnson in melb john, but I have a fair while back. if can remember I'll post back. certainly very nice stuff john and very highly regarded.
Guest JohnA Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Thanks Al, can't find much info on re-sellers here in Aus the prices seem good, so if they perform its another possibility. As much as i would love the melody, no remote and no HT bypass is going to be hard to live with, unless it realy perfomrs, and i mean realy. Then i may consider it

Then i may consider it I was flicking through a UK hifi magazine at the news agents today, hifi world I think it was, had a review of the melody pre, they seemed to think very highly of it, best pre they had ever come across they reconned. maybe still worth checkign out ?. no ht bypass you could maybe live with. no remote might be a bugger though !

I believe the melody pre is available so i can check that out at any time No remote just means changing the droplet for the volume control version or i get up off my lazy backside

Guest JohnA Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 pffft too late for that now but realy onlt after a pre at the moment and its between the melody, this conrad johnson and the supratek, but the supratek is out of the equation now so now its just the 2, that is until i discover more stuff

norpus Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 As someof you may know i am on the search for a new pre-amplifieri just came across this brand Conrad johnson and it seems to have all the features i require including HT bypass does anyone know of any dealers in Melbourne that may stock it? i did a quick search on the net and found the ct6 has a rrp of $7999 all i need now is to find a stockist to demo it Looked at their website but couldn't find anyting about dealers John, my bro has a CJ hybrid preamp in HK, pretty exxy gear I understand
Wilco1503560275 Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 good stuff, im glad u can demo or at least get someone in melb to talk about CJ, as they have always been around. my relative in singapore (they are very very nutty when it comes to hifi) waited 3mths for his mp5600 power amp. he even gave me a call as the courier guys were dropping it off...what a nut lol. thats what CJ products do to their customers he is still one happy CJ relative of mine hehe
Guest JohnA Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 i have been that busy that i haven't had much time to do any auditioning as yet will hopefull get around to it, but no point me looking untill my pre-amp sells first
