madent Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 I just got a panasonic dmr-ex85 and i wanted to copy all the progs from my digicrystal pvr... I bought a scart to scart video/audio cable and plugged it into the digicrystal and av2 on the ex85. I have picture but no audio... Please note that i have tried a scart to rca and that works fine, so the scart output on the digicrystal is working ok... Any help with this??...is av2 on the ex85 an input?? cheers
fat Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 The AV2 is an input. I am using AV2 to record Foxtel on my EX-75 and I have no issues. Could it be a faulty SCART cable?
fossicker Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 I read somewhere that not all scart cables are fully wired. You would have to check it with a multimeter.
madent Posted April 14, 2007 Author Posted April 14, 2007 I returned the cable so I'm not sure what the problem was... I found an rca to scart converter which came with my son's xbox. So I just plugged that into the rca to scart cable I had, and it worked fine. Now if I can just work out these channel favourites....I know it can make 4 different channel favourites lists.... But how do you use them after you create them???
Guest redeagle Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 just brought the EX-85 today from wow sight & sound for $849 and i love it a very clear picture but i do believe that its clearer through component than HDMI the colour is better not by much but i can notice it. i got it hooked up to my 106 cm widescreen acer LCD and its working like a dream. early days but so far all is good. i'am glad they have got the recording in 16.9 worked out on dvd-r it comes out 16.9.
