Hey guys need some help connecting my DGTEC2000A HD set top box to my Mitsubishi HC5000 projector.

HDMI-> <<future connection for HD-DVD player>>

SERIAL (RGB)-> connects to XBOX 360

COMPONENT (YpbPr) - > Connects to Sony RGR-GX7 DVD Player

The projector reports that the signal from the set top box (which runs through dvd player ) is 720x561i (or around abouts). This is with the RG6 coax cable connected from the output of the set top box to the dvd player. Im trying to use component out from set top box to SCART LINE 3 of the dvd player but i get no image. Is there a better way to do this? Or can i use the DVI input on the projector to connect to the PC IN of the settop box and bypass the dvd player.?

The set top box is switched to "HD1" = 1080i signal using YpbPr.

Bypassing the Dvd Player (I think you mean DVD Recorder?), would give you the best PQ for both DVD and the STB.

Merely passing the RF signal is not using any of the superior outputs of the STB.

Thus connecting them seperately would result in optimum best PQ for both the devices,

Just my 2c,

Ritesh
