kingclay Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Is anyone having trouble with picture quality or signal quality after they record using the timer with the Sony rdrhxd760. I noticed it when watching a timed recording live, so i stopped the recording and manually pressed record and the signal quality came back to normal. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this. Cheers Clay

kingclay Posted April 15, 2007 Author Posted April 15, 2007 I've just figured out what is actually happening. When i set the timer on channel 10 (strongest signal) for example, the timer actually starts on the other channel 10 signal which is a weaker signal therefore the poor quality. The channels are both named the same in the tuner but I have the weaker signal hidden in the settings. Just wondering if someone could check this out on there machine as to find out if mine is faulty. Would appreciate it greatly. Cheers Clay
Riv39 Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Has anyone noticed that the the unit's internal fan (and HDD?) appear to restart and run continously even though the unit is turned off? The only way to stop it is to disconnect the power which seems to 'reboot' the device. I note that the manual (page 102 "Mechanical sound is heard when hte recorder is off") states that "while the recorder is updating the EPG information.........operational noises (such as the intrnal fan) may be heard......" but is this normal to occur for hours and hours? Maybe because I set Digital Software Upgrade to "On" to enable auto upgrades? Ant ideas to solve this issue would be appreciated.
