For those who may not know, Sony announced that players who download games from PlayStation's online shop can share them on up to five other PS3 machines. If a player logs into his PlayStation 3 account on a friend's system, he can download any game he has already purchased. Now, what people are doing round the world is setting up generic accounts, a "host" who buys the game sets up an account, and the other 4 "members" pay their share of the game. When payment is received by the host, he pays and downloads the game, provides the login info for the other 4 members who in turn can also download the game/content. So, for example a $15 games becomes only $3 per head. Nice? Yes. Interested?

mav,

Good to hear. Im trying to see how many people on this forum would be interested, For example, Im not a huge fan of the PS3 controller full stop, so most of my gaming will be 360/Wii, but something like Tekken:DR does interest me. I think from memory its currently about $16.75 to buy, so if 5 of us got together it would be less than $3.50 each. And so on.

I'm also quite interested in the Tekken DR Game. Is there a way in which I would be able to give you the money MarkH? As I don't have a credit card it might be a bit difficult. PM Me sometime about it

I can imagine us maybe doing this sometime next week. Direct deposit would be probably ideal at this point in time. Lets wait however till more interest arises.

Tekken 5 is worth the download.. It's somewhat shortened with alot of the game modes taken out.. But still provides some entertainment and good for 2 player..

Sounds like a good idea with the sharing of games..

Let me guess, no online modes?

I've got Tekken and I like it alot, also downloaded all the movies (3) and pictures (heaps)

I'd be interested in other games. I wish there was more to download from the store.

The idea is to make this ongoing - it wasnt just to get Tekken on the cheap, thats was merely an example.

Mark, count me in... how does this work...

My PS3 tag is DARKMAN_AUS

Ok guys Id like to do this by the weekend if we can, and try it with Tekken 5. The price from memory is about $16.75, so whoever signs up, we just divide that by the number of commited people (max of 5 tho).

Best way of doing it will be:-

1. Get the numbers

2. When we know what each person has to pay, submit their share to my bank via direct deposit

3. I download the game.

4. Upon recipt of payment, I email the login details of a specially created ID for this to the recipients.

5. You log in, go to the PS Store, hit the download button, and download it to your own PS3.

6. We enjoy our success and look forward to the next time we do it!

Ok so who's in for Tekken 5?

Sounds like a plan. Count me in if there's still room.

Just a shame I think i'm going to be shaped to 64kbs for a week (sometime today or tomorrow) since I went overboard with bittorrent this month.

Count me in!

Can we also look at MKII perhaps?

Good stuff croops!

I would be more than happy to do MK2 next week, so long as our experiment works flawlessly.

Ok guys I will setup a generic online ID and download Tekken 5 later tonight when I get home. Then I will Pm you guys with the necessary details too.
