Peterpack Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 I've got my xbox (xbox 1 not 360) connected to my new 50inch HD Panasonic Plasma just with the RCA cables is it worth getting this http://www.hometheatre.net.au/xbox_multimedia_adaptor.htm and connecting with component ?
penguin Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 i can't speak from experience myself when it comes to the original xbox on a plasma, but i'm pretty sure it would make a huge difference. My PS2 is currently connected to my 32" LCD via s-video and that resulted in a major improvement in the picture quality over composite

momaw Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Why the hell can't we just run everything through RF adaptors?
nis200979 Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Why the hell can't we just run everything through RF adaptors? You can, and on a 30yo black and white tv you can't tell the difference. For those with a colour tv, there is a small benefit from composite, and those with HD tv, component is EXTREMELY important.

butterfingers Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 nearly as strange as the concept of a b & w tv having component inputs
momaw Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 nearly as strange as the concept of a b & w tv having component inputs So I can't use the "component" inputs on my Atari Video Game System?
momaw Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Does anyone know, on Raiders of the Lost Ark, after you use the parachute to get into that room on the side (under the branch), how you stop the quick sand from getting you? I think you need to use the shovel somehow, but I'm not sure. It is very frustrating.
butterfingers Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 i dont think it would make much of a difference there. but no....

momaw Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 i dont think it would make much of a difference there. but no.... oh well, thanks. Was hoping for maybe that "3d" feel that apparently is the latest rage. Anyways, I'm going back to play F1 with my funky knob turning controller.
momaw Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 was this on the atari 2600 version?? What other version is there?

butterfingers Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 What other version is there? i think there is an xbox 360 version, due, or out now........ not quite sure there. i cant remember that long ago to be of any help, that gamplay tip would be pretty hard to find, unless u get hold of some hell old magazines. i would b suprised if they still existed even i am suprised your atari still works ok (moreso the controllers. that used to be the most vulnerable part of the console

nis200979 Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 So guys is there a straight xbox component cable available ? Yeah, eBay used to have them but usually without optical output. The gen MS component cable had optical too, but EB stopped stocking it long before the XBox 360 arrived.
