I have been having problems since yesterday, poor speeds, slow response times, pages not loading, and had real issues getting speed from some torrents last night, it really sucks...

Well, as I said ... that could be the problem.

Torrents really do suck!

Bandwidth, that is!

NB: Are you burdened with Telstra?

Come to think of it ... don't suppose there is a bunch of freakin' 300 torrents hanging around?

With the current obsession amongst some Fanatics at the moment, that could explain about 60% of the problem, if every kid (at heart) on the planet is downloading some slightly soiled dodgycam version from Planet Theft, and then rushing off to their bedroom!  :D

Unfortunatly I am, Telstra Cable, and overall it's been horrible off and on for months now, I spend half my time trying to find a clear channel on the modem, you get a good one and a few days or weeks later it's horrible again, so you go looking for a better one yet again.

Cable internet is highly over rated, used to be fine, these days it's crap...

Will be moving soon though I hope, so no more Telstra, although on the down side I may be out of DSL range where I end up...

Yeah, cable used to be great before it was overcrowded.

And before the 'hood filled with torrentiers!

cable whats that ?

my parents street had two companies come dig up either side of hte road to implant their lines. us in a 20 year newer street havent got either. so good old copper is the best we're ever goign to get unless they develop so other superior technology.

You sure that it's going to put people off downloading torrents, by making it sound like getting and watching quality porn? :P

Didn't say quality, but I can see the "300" audience is getting a little too exited if you ask me!

Awww... come on Santa; they're just bubbling over with pride at an Aussie 'made' box-office winner - even if it has led to even more paranoid Islamist reactions (given it's supposed depictions of the Persians), or been panned by various critics. :P

Isn't it possible to be happy for the mindless drones who have precious few opportunities these days to take pride in Aussie attainments? :D

It's pretty rare for the Aussie film industry to come up with this sort of 'hit flick' these days, so it's only natural there's plenty of interest being generated in getting versions/previews/etc of 300 via torrents, for a personal 'sneak peak'.

I'm not sure I particularly appreciate the liberties taken with history... but I suppose 300 is meant to be pretty straight forward; not much strain on the brain, type entertainment. :P

The various Greek communities throughout Australia will no doubt feel even stronger ties to the soil of our great southern land through a flick like 300...
