The PS3 specific threads not purely about games are a hard call. You have to admit a majority of PS3 owners on this forum actually have it primarily for Blu-ray playback, which means hardware and firmware related threads are probably more relevant to this sub-forums readers that the gamers subforum.

"Fan Noise for PS3" and quite a few others don't seem to mention games at all. I appreciate your efforts, but some of those I personally like where they are......but it's not my sandbox so whatever will be will be.

My feeling is that General PS3 non game related topics should stay because as I said most owners here have it for BD primarily.

I understand your point but the fact is the PS3 is a Game Console 1st, BluRay Player 2nd so if the topic is not primarily about BluRay movie play-back on the PS3, then it should not be in the HD DVD & BluRay sub-forum (imo of course).

also according to amazon the PS3 has a total of 30 games (including coming soon titles) while it has 303 movies available on it.

While the forums are a little better organised now, it would be nice if major changes like this were discussed with the members prior to happening, like a poll or some such. While the moderators may own the forum, its the members who make it what it is. Just my 2c.

this act has diminished my view of management.. clearly HD-DVD fan bots

To be honest, this forum has no real link to consoles (other than there TV capabilities). The only reason I can see for separating the threads is just to highlight this fact.
