Fs/eoi Crestron Integrated Control System

Recommended Posts

Hi there

I'm considering parting with my setup in favour of a Harmony 1000i, and was wondering if anyone would be interested in purchasing/or could give me an idea of the resale value of these components.

Thanks for looking.

parting with your setup?

i doubt you've even received it yet from where you bought it.

no problem buying something and on-selling but at least be honest.

Actually any potential purchasers should be aware:

1. Thats a generation one processor - the new ones are AV2's and can string together multiple RS232 commands simultaneously - a great improvement over gen. 1 processors.

2. Thats a 1 way touch screen only - no feedback from the processor is possible.

3. Resolution on that panel is pretty poor by current standards.

4. These are not simple to program. You need the Crestron programming software - not available to the public. Expect to pay upwards of $120 per hour for programming - and depending on what you want to control can be 40+ hours. Large home integration ofte runs into hundreds of hours.

5.. The asking price is fair. RRP on that gear was around 8K.

I was also looking at a Crestron setup and number 4 was the only one that detered me considering the amount of component upgrading I do.
