Santa1503559644 Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 From the ABC: PM's plea for WorkChoices ad funding 'desperate' The Federal Opposition says the Prime Minister's suggestion that the business community should fund pre-election advertising supporting Government policy is a sign of desperation. The Australian Industry Group and the National Retailers Association both say they will not pay for advertisements backing the Government's industrial relations laws. The Opposition treasury spokesman, Wayne Swan, says he doubts Labor will be able to match the Coalition's pre-election advertising spending. "What this shows is just how desperate John Howard has become," he said. "Having spent $30 million of taxpayers' money on trying to promote his extreme industrial laws, he's now so desperate he's got to go and ask for more from the business community." DrP Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 JWH & Co have become too used to the brown paper ba handouts they have been receiving from the business world. I have no doubt that the Howard Speak word spinners are already hard at work behind the scenes. I wonder what the papers will be saying by tomorrow. Some how Howard will spin this to make it look like its a plus for the Libs.
