I think that puts the cat amonst the pidgeons ! what a great price how much longer before it goes lower again ! It had to happen - with the AUD at record highs, this is one to get into before the inevitable AUD slide happens (IMO of course) Best Price has dropped to 578000Yen inside Japan - I believe it was 100000 more last week I looked. Thats a big drop. Inside delivery is only AUD 6,334 - nice if you are travelling to Japan and can get it delivered to your hotel - I think that is about cost price in Australia currently. It has 100-240 volt free, English screen menu. Its body and remote is written in English. 2 units in stock .(black model only) - bet they don't last more than a nanosecond!
Foggy Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 (edited) Call me crazy, but that wouldn't be enough of a price differential on the local street price to make me want to forego the local warranty & support. Not to mention the extra likelihood of being slugged with GST because it's such an expensive item. EDIT: but it's good to see the price is heading in the right direction Edited April 4, 2007 by Foggy
Maverick Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Brings it in line with the GB with GST added and it certainly would be on this price.
Gino Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 nice... but still waiting for first local user reports... anyone of you guys getting the first shipment mind if I fly down to see for myself?
norpus Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 nice... but still waiting for first local user reports... anyone of you guys getting the first shipment mind if I fly down to see for myself? Most welcome to my place Gino - but I won't be getting mine till after Easter Theres a bed for you here too

It's not crazy its common sense. Add GST and the prospect of one return trip for a warranty claim and that price starts to look ordinary. georgeb

If the case why worry bout the return trip?

No worries Gino I'll return the favour one weekend this year when I can dump the rugrats and use some frequent flyers - how far away is the nearest (Qantas) airport from you?

That would be Cairns International Airport, about 40km away maybe. I'll pick you up in my car, it's a fun drive through the rainforest range
