kamma Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 First I say IN HD, then you correct me and name call, then I correct it to ON HD, and you correct me again, but in the process your contradict yourself. Which is it man? actually this is what happened QUOTE(kamma @ Apr 6 2007, 07:27 PM) * i am creaming my boxers at the thought of the prestige on HD. QUOTE(MarkH @ Apr 7 2007, 01:03 AM) * Its already out in HD, its called Blu Ray. i said ON and you said IN. you misread or misinterpretted my post. i know you only did it to prove me wrong though which makes you look dumb. so i was right all along you cant read my posts properly and further more you tried to poke fun and have a laugh at my expense. i am laughing now at your childish inane attempt to get a laugh.
djOS Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Cmon Guys, both of you please just drop this dispute? You both have your own point of view and thats fine, but please just let the whole thing rest.
Hydrology Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 on HD as in HD-DVD. in HD means in high definition as in HD-DVD or BR. If ON and IN mean the same thing to you , as your above post indicates, whats the point of posting yet again? I merely pointed out that The Prestige is ALREADY available in or on HD, and that version is BR. Your post seem to suggest it was the first time this movie appears on a HD format. And having said all that, I mentioned its impending release on HD-DVD months ago on these forums. Forgive me if you thought I was trying to make you look stupid, you dont need my help.
Hydrology Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 just drop it mark, for the sake of everybody else. stop crapping on about the name calling because we all know that you have a history. skidmcmarks and jace to name but 2. And when I was reported I accepted that responsibility. Accept it.
kamma Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 And when I was reported I accepted that responsibility. Accept it. and so will i otherwise i never would have done it so blatantly.

momaw Posted April 10, 2007 Author Posted April 10, 2007 Sony Unveils 'Ghost Rider' Blu-ray SpecsTue Apr 10, 2007 at 12:02 AM ET Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has unveiled full specs for the June 12 Blu-ray release of 'Ghost Rider,' which will hit next-gen in a new, unrated extended cut. The film, which grossed over $100 million at the domestic box office and is already shaping up to be one of Blu-ray's most anticipated new releases this summer, will be presented in a newly-extended version with footage not seen in theaters when it bows the disc day-and-date with the standard-def version on June 12, as first reported late last month. Other extras include two audio commentaries (the first with director Mark Steven Johnson and effects supervisor Kevin Mack, and the second with producer Gary Foster), the "Spirit of Vengeance: The Making of 'Ghost Rider'" documentary and the Theatrical Trailer. Tech specs include a BD-50 dual-layer disc, a 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 transfer and an uncompressed PCM 5.1 surround track (48kHz/16-bit/4.6mpbs). Sony has set a $38.96 list price for the release. And now for a release that would kill any format were it an exclusive...... DreamWorks Officially Announces 'Norbit' for Blu-ray, HD DVD This JuneTue Apr 10, 2007 at 02:59 AM ET It's official: an over-sized Eddie Murphy will be hitting Blu-ray and HD DVD on June 5, when DreamWorks releases the smash comedy 'Norbit' on both next-gen formats day-and-date with the standard DVD. Currently nearing the $100 million mark in domestic box office receipts, 'Norbit' sees Murphy returning to his ribald comedy roots, playing both the nebbish title character and his "monstrous" fiancee -- thanks to a little help from a giant latex fat suit. 'Norbit' will be distributed via DreamWorks' parent Paramount Home Entertainment, who have yet announced specs for the Blu-ray or HD DVD editions. Retail has been set at $39.99 each. 'Norbit' follows 'Dreamgirls' (announced for May 1 release) as the latest in an influx of Paramount Murphy titles coming to high-def. The studio is already set to debut a pair of his most popular catalog comedies on both formats June 5 along with 'Norbit' -- 'Trading Places' and 'Coming to America.' At least the release details include a couply of Eddie Murphy classics to save it.....well not really, nothing can save this steaming pile of..... First Look Throws Hat in HD DVD Ring with 'The Contract'Mon Apr 09, 2007 at 02:32 PM ET Indie studio First Look is throwing its hat into the next-gen ring, announcing its debut HD DVD release with a July debut of the dramatic thriller 'The Contract.' The recently-formed company specializes in low-budget but high-profile independent films, and so far has seen most of its success in DVD market, enjoying success with such limited release hits as 'Sleeping Dogs Lie,' 'Caffeine' and the Morgan Freeman-directed '10 Items or Less.' For the studio's next-gen debut, they have selected the Freeman and John Cusack-starrer 'The Contract.' The Bruce Beresford-directed thriller earned a scant $2 million at the box office, though strong critical notices may result in a stronger shelf life on video. The film is due for HD DVD release only on July 24, day-and-date with the standard-def version. There is no Blu-ray release announced, nor has First Look confirmed nor denied any plans to support the rival format. Specs are not yet available for 'The Contract,' though First Look has set a suggested list price of $32.98, four bucks more than the DVD.
momaw Posted April 12, 2007 Author Posted April 12, 2007 Spider-Man 3' Due for November Blu-ray Release?Wed Apr 11, 2007 at 04:10 PM ET A tantalizing promotional insert included in the French DVD version of 'Spider-Man 2.1' includes the first official mention of a Blu-ray release date for 'Spider-Man 3.' While the date indicated in the advert -- "Le 2 Novembre 2007" -- obviously refers to the planned French release for the disc, such a date would certainly make sense as a target for worldwide release, given the film's theatrical debut four months earlier. Blu-ray fans on this side of the Atlantic have been chomping at the bit for any news of a Stateside release for the 'Spider-Man' films ever since the format launched last year. The Spidey movies are considered one of the "holy grails" for high-def release, but so far, Sony has remained mum on any domestic release plans. Though the studio continues to tease us with preview spots on their most recent Blu-ray releases, including 'Casino Royale' and 'The Pursuit of Happyness,' there has been no official U.S. release date announced for any of the 'Spider-Man' films. Many expected at least the first film in the series to debut on Blu-ray to coincide with the May 3 theatrical bow of 'Spider-Man 3,' but now -- if the flyer is any hint -- it looks like the soonest we may get Spidey in high-def is later this year. At presstime, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has not yet returned calls for comment. To view the promotional flyer in full, we've uploaded complete pics here.
