Didn't they buy cameras last year? There was a thread about it but they never showed it in HD that I know of. Not that it matters, the only thing more useless in high definition would be Fishcam on Channel 31.

Cutting Edge who supply the equipment for big brother do have a truck load of HD gear, in fact the gear they used last year was all HD. Only catch is they are currently using their HD truck for Saturday Night Football. In other words who knows

I would have imagined they'd have equopped their truck with its own seperate gear.

As far as I recall, someone here last year said that the reason Big Brother wasn't HD, despite being shot with HD cameras, was that there was no HD link between Dreamworld and Ten.

Why can't there be no link between Dreamworld & the outside world, full stop.

Yes, I have a problem with or attention-whoring nobs, whether in SD or HD.

Phew! I'm not alone

Come to think of it, I don't actually know anyone who does waste their time watching this ... um, er ... stuff. Well, no one I know has owned up to it - just faceless forum posters.

lol, i heard down the grapevine last year that the plan was to do all the live shows in HD but the thing that stopped it was the delay unit (needed since the housemates can't stop swearing for more than 5 seconeds) was SD, so i reckon there's a good chance some of it will be this season.

and although i dont like the show i hope it survives because it give freelance camera/editors/techs 3 months of solid work up here in SE QLD, many people dont think of that.

Sorry kids, as with last year BB will be SD. Yes Cutting Edge record the program in HD but the distribution method will be (as it's always been) via satellite with a maximum 8mbits of video.

No it all gets pooled and something as big as big brother would use it all. I hadn't heard of Cutting Edge buying more Sony HD cameras.

will big brother be in HD this year ? Considering 10 seems to be the leader in HD programs now..

will we able to vote all 16 housemates out after week 1 if they're too boring?????

I wish they'd take advantage of multichannelling and run good programming on the HD channel while BB was on SD.

Better yet, banish BB to the guide channel.

Can we vote the host off?

Great idea!.....trouble is, having got rid of Wrinkly Gretel, they'd probably serve up one of the drips from Idol as replacement host. Or worse....Matthew Newton!!!!

So are Today Tonight and ACA. So...?

But they're educational to some extent, there's no need to have those other 2 programs on TEN, because you don't really learn anything.

ha

So everything on tv is educational?

I can tell you right now that Big Brother is alot more educational that TT and ACA. Case in point, the only networks to show any scenes from the turckey slap incident were 7 and 9.
