bigdonk Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Folks, Have a weird problem with Melbourne SBS SD 720x576i, and SBS HD 720x576p, when connecting to Sammy 1080P LCD LA40F71BX panel via DVI->HDMI With the Format selected to auto, and output selected to RGB, so that there is no upscaling/downscaling from the STB out the DVI interface, there is little to no picture displayed, and little to no audio, very choppy. Strange thing is when i select 1080i RGB ( such that the STB upscales to 1080i ) as the output format, all is good and signal strength and quality are near 100 %. PQ and audio is good. Anyone out there using this particular STB using the DVI interface ? Does SBS work ok for you ? What format and output settings did you use ? All other channels ok with no issues what so ever, just SBS seems to have issues with no upscaling from STB. Have done a channel re-scan, and no change. Any ideas ? DV-B800 f/w 1.07

DV-B800 f/w 1.07 I have the same STB using DVI with no issues. Not much help, I know, probably best to place a call with TEAC. It could be that the signal strength is too strong. What are the strengths on the other channels?
bigdonk Posted April 4, 2007 Author Posted April 4, 2007 Found the cause of my SBS/SBS HD issue, was a faulty DVI -> HDMI cable, weird cause, as all other channels A-Ok, but a new cable has definitely resolved the issue. Now i can run the STB without upscaling/downscaling, and let the sammy decide the best way to deal with upscaling only once
