pietro1503559499 Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 On Prime at least the PQ has been pretty awful. Lots and lots of artifacts presumably due to insufficient bit-rate. Doesn't augur well for HD AFL if they decide to make it happen. The camera work has been OK I think. But I do like the commentary team. Bruce and Dennis seem to respect each other and don't give the impression they are out to compete, unlike the ego-driven team at Ch 9 on Friday nights. And having the same team for each game gives a sense of continuity. And Dennis' witticisms just keep coming: After a push in the back he said " The AFL is trying to get rid of pushers both on and off the ground" Describing Brad Johnston as the Bulldogs' happiest player he said: Just as well he doesn't come to work on a motor bike or he'd have insects all over his teeth" Classic.
ibanez5 Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Just switching between the AFL on PRIME and NRL on NBN and the PQ on NBN is notably better.

ibanez5 Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 then maybe it's like this:NBN is best PQ PRIME is 2nd best PQ WIN is 3rd best PQ Could that explain it? Might be WIN's low bitrate thanks to Tassie.

PQ on seven was great right up to the point when someone moved, went downhill from there
ibanez5 Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 PQ on seven was great right up to the point when someone moved, went downhill from there The highlights of the Roosters vs Sea Eagles game on 7 news looked awful compared to what it looked like on NBN.
pietro1503559499 Posted April 1, 2007 Author Posted April 1, 2007 It looks as if we all agree: they all need to do better.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of Dennis Cometti. Been the voice of footy for years in my mind. But the over the top and trying too hard antics of Maccawanka on the other hand . . .
