nightbreed Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 This info must have come from a HD-DVD only retailer. I just had a customer ask about the new HD DVD formats. I explained the difference between Blu-Ray & HD-DVD to her. She said there is NO WAY she will ever buy a Blu-Ray player! I though, cool, finaly a HD-DVD Fan. That wasn't the case. She said her kids have blue eyes and a retailer i won't mention told her that if you have Blue eyes and watch Blu-Ray movies you can really damage your eyes. And i thought i had heard it all! lol

Hussla Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 If i wasn't in the HT trade i would say. Let's just say it was a "box pusher" Well consindering Harveys is a Blu-Ray pusher I would strike them out............ Leaves: Retrovision (Retravision) Gay Guys (Good Guys) Tricky Dickies (Dick Smith) Bing Pee (Bing Lee) GayMart (K-Mart) Liars (Myers) Hep-B Hifi (JB HiFi) Davids Stoned (David Jones) WHich one is it?
Santa1503559644 Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Its sad, but true! In fact, as a precautionary measure, Chris wants Blu-ray to be restricted from sale to WASPs! But you want proof? OK ... try finding the original Ocean's Eleven on Blu Ray! That's right ... you can't! It wont work! ______________________________________________________ It starred ol' Blue Eyes himself!
AndrewW Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 ok, so this made me laugh. not sure what is funnier, that the retailer is sprouting this crap, or that someone actually believed them. Andrew.
Jliang70 Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 I hope you explained to her HD-DVD also uses a blue laser, so her kids can stay away from them too! I think we can also tell her that her kids can stay away from DVD/CD too becuase it will turn their eyes red....
mello yello Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Technically its true In a bizarre sort of way However "the report" (from a reputable source) ... doesnt mention that any coloured eyes will be damaged by watching Blu Ray movies. ..nor does it mention that its not the actual movie but the act of staring at a screen non stop for a number of hours that does the damage. so yes I believe it watching Blu Ray is bad for your eyes.....regardless of colour!!!!!! ( I read it on the Internet ) save
xtractdigit Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 You may well laugh, I told a young friend of mine 22 mad about cars and mods. That he could get brighter headlights if he went to repco and got his halogen toped up as the gas seaped out when hot. He actually went and asked a mechanic mate if he could do it on the cheap, he kept the joke going for a while then told him. I had a badly bruised shoulder after he caught up with me, still sore.
Mining Man Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Did he say it would be bad for a brown eye? Poor ol' Sony has been copping a few of them, haven't they... Of course, I don't wear elastic waist trackies in HN and JB for just good looks.
