Skiller Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 I believe the Australian version of the 42XD1E is the 42PD7X covered in this thread. IMO the Australian version is even better as it's got a DVI port instead of a VGA so you can get a crystal clear digital signal from a PC at 1920x1080 .

Best price I got for sharp 37" is $2499 Hope any owner or expert can give me some lights. also considering Hitachi 37, 37LD9800TA. It's not build-in tuner, but they are in good price now. sony STB sold for $199 in JB. LCD sold for $1599 Any comment appreciated Thanks

If you ever have a problem with your TV don't expect sharp to fix it in a timely manner. You will find you will need to ring Sharp Japan to get the tools at Sharp Australia to get their hands out of their pants.

But are they anyone use Hitachi LCD in this forum I read few pages on this forum, most of them are Hitachi plasma only. what sorth of issue in sharp. the manufacture warranty is 3 years. Hitachi on the other hand have 2 models for 37 (just found out) anyone knows which one is the latest clieve peter's sales man told me 9800 is no longger in production HN & Bing Lee told me 9800 is the latest model both models are the current model from hitachi. cheers

They all over about $ 2100 include delivery (RRP $2499) Went to Myer @city, They opening price was $2499 ask for what is the best over .... goes down to $2100 (Same for all other shops) After long talk and nego .... put down deposit for early May shipment. They have back log ... don't know what the reason Their computer say 10 ordered, but 2 taken already. Anyway ..... my final price is $1850 + shipping this is VERY DAMN GOOD PRICE FOR SHARP LCD 37" anyone interested to wait 1 week and good price ... go ahead to myer @pitt street ask for NOEL the big guy ... not the skinny guy Cheersss I should be very happy with that ....
