Guest stevesp Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Hi all........my first (and current) home theatre set up: panasonic ptax 100e projector, denon 1910 dvd player,denon 2106 amp.and topfield sd set top box..... all connected via component cables.Very happy with the whole set up, but now keen to look for any possible improvements. In looking through the projector menu's i have noticed the resolution is fixed at 570 and can't be changed with the remote. The denon dvd player can upscale.....but i am assuming only via an hdmi connection? if i connect the dvd to the (non upscaling) amp via an hdmi cable will i get a higher res picture through the projector? Hope someone can help!
dvduser Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 The pj is only showing what it's being sent, and it can't change that - it's a display device only. Denon 1910 - can only upscale via HDMI, but then you can select 5761/576p/720p/1080i and match the output as close to the pj resolution
