scotty79
Hi all, Not sure if this goes against the grain of the forum, but i was wondering if anyone can recommend an installer that services the Glenwood area of NSW to install my cinescreen electric projection screen? I'd wanted to do it myself for some time, but now i think its going to be more work than its worth for me to do (correctly). Any help appreciated, not many installers i called want to put up a screen they didnt supply... Scotty. PS - if this goes against the grain, mods, please delete. I am not familiar with that product - but if its a 'mount in the ceiling' screen that lowers through a slot - you really are better off with a builder than an AV installer. Whenever I install a motorized screen through a slot in the roof or a lift mechanism - always use a builder. Its really building works - you just need an AV guy to show them where you want it and how to look after it during install.
scotty79
thanks for the reply. the cinescreen is a popular budget priced drop down electric projector screen (not through a slot, it has a drum/roller style) similar in design to a pull-down, but electric instead of manual. my biggest problem is that the beams in the roof do not run inline with the mounting points, so maybe a builder is the best way to go afterall, i need to add a bit of re-inforcement, cause the screen weighs about 20kg maybe 25kgs...
