MAGVIEW
After 3 weeks since purchase I've decided to give PersianImmortal's calibration setting a try. Since my plasma is the PV60A hooked up to a SD Topfield TF5000 via component rather than his 42PV500A with a HD HDMI connection, will his setting differ for my set. Also it looks like he changes the settings depending on if he's watching DVD or TV via the STB, is this correct? Coming from an square box and VCR this is new to me, thanks. PersianImmortal
You should really post this in the existing thread on these settings, but some quick answers: - I use different settings for different inputs, I don't 'change the settings'. The TV can hold different settings for each input. - Different inputs usually require different settings because they produce the image differently. You should use the Component settings for your component input, etc. - You shouldn't just use my settings for your set, as it is different. There's a thread around here where people have found some good settings for their newer Panasonics. Do a quick search for your TV model plus the word 'calibration' and see if you can find it. There's no harm in trying my settings, however they will not wind up looking the same as what I'm seeing because you have a different set and I believe it also shows the settings differently. I think it shows the settings the same as yours, shows numbers not bars. I will do the search.
