Nova Phoenix Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Yo all. Enjoying my TV being back with me. Now the...slight problem. Noticeable, but not super-uber-bad! Sometimes, during play of the 360 (w/Component cable that came with console @ 1080i) and PS3 (w/3m HDMI cable by Blaze @ 1080i), there is noticeable and slight screen flicker at both sides of the screen. The "flicker-range" appears to be almost as big as the black bars present during a 4:3 image (ie. The Simpsons). When this happened with the 360, I noticed that turning the console off and flicking through the different TV sources, and then back to the one the 360 is connected to, seemed to solve the problem. But I don't think it's permanent. Can anyone give me advice as to how to rid myself of the screen flicker? I've tried making both systems operate at 720p, but that doesn't seem to work. By the way, such screen flicker does not happen with my PS2 (w/S-Video) or my Phillips DTR7200 (w/Component @ 1080i).
Nova Phoenix Posted March 26, 2007 Author Posted March 26, 2007 It happened again today, but with the PS3 only. While playing Resistance, at some point I noticed that both sides of the screen, concentrated towards the top corners, were flickering again. Now the TV has 100Hz capability, and if I understand correctly, such flicker should not exist. Again, the PS3 is running at 1080i through a Blaze HDMI cable, and even when I reduced it to 720p, I still noticed the flicker. So is there any solution someone can give to me? PS3 and my TV are both great machines, and I'd hate for this to keep happening to them.

Not sure if it is exactly the same set but a lengthly American thread on Samsung slim tubes had this link http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/...S62A-aadj-3.pdf Thread here http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread....age=8&pp=30
