-Bishop- Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 As of today about $618. Every cent counts. Shame the 50% off sale at Amazon is finished. At that sort of price, it's hard to flame, as much as I dislike Sony, I'm not against their product if it's sold at a sane price...

Skid_MacMarx Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 how could I miss this what's your first BD movie title?
Hydrology Posted March 26, 2007 Author Posted March 26, 2007 how could I miss this what's your first BD movie title? I was gonna hold out for The Prestige on HD-DVD, but decide it would be cheaper on BR from the States. That and Black Hawk Down. There's not much else out at the moment on BR thats grabbing my attention. YesAsia are out of stock of the console so probably wont be here till next week anyways.
keiron Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Yes, I ordered a 20GB PS3 from YesAsia. Let the flames begin...... Is that a 110volt model?
Hydrology Posted March 26, 2007 Author Posted March 26, 2007 Is that a 110volt model? According to the guys who ordered one from YesAsia, even though it says 110v on the unit, it apparantely IS dual voltage. Perhaps the guys who own one can chime in and confirm? Either way a savings of close to $400 (albeit smaller drive and no wifi/MS) is worth it.

Thats correct Mark, the voltage sticker is indicative of the region the unit is being sold at. All PS3's have a universal PSU. Mo, AndrewW all have a jpn unit and they work fine. Mine is from HK so it already had the 220v sticker It is also confirmed in wikipedia All current PS3 power supplies are Universal 100V-240V/50–60 Hz and will work worldwide, external power markings only relate to the intended market area http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ps3

Mine says 110v, but is quite happily running off 240v. No signs of smoke yet Andrew.
