Just wondering if anyone has compared the LG 50PB2DR HD Tuner & 250GB HDD Built-In Plasma, with the 600A which I think is the panasonic equivelant. I can get the LG for $3500 whilst the panasoni is a few hundred more. Which would be the better one.?

The Panasonic's are a bit of a forum darling at the moment (with good reason). LG as a general brand don't get a good rap from many posters. I'd spend the extra few hundred. That said if you can eyball the sets yourself you might find either appeals to you more.

Its just not this forum that bags out the LG's its most of the AV forums out there. Before I starting browsing these forums I would have bought an LG no problems but since reading some of the horror stories I wouldn't touch them..

Doesnt the inbuilt PVR have 1 HD tuner and 1 analogue tuner? So if you were recording and wanted to watch something on another chanel you would have to watch analogue

I think LG repairers are driving Mercs and putting their kids though private school, I'd go the Panasonic.

The Pioneer is overpriced with 1080p PDPs coming mid year, but are certainly the BEST displays under $10k.
