Teac Pvr800s And Pc - Possible?

I went and got myself a Teac PVR800s with USB transfer the other day and I'm wondering if its possible to download the media files from it (tv shows) to a PC?

The included software / downloadable software sees it, can trasnfer files TO it, but clicking the VIDEO part to download brings up an error.

Is there some form of hack/backdoor way to get files from the Teac PVR800S to the PC or am I doomed?
