Brazzwald Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 "JAMAICAN police today announced they are treating the death of Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer as murder after finding it was caused by strangulation." http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,8659,2...6-23212,00.html Fanatic or Bookmaker, this should never happen as a result of a sporting performance... Mining Man Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Obviously, my condolences go to his family and friends that have to deal with not only his death, but all the sordid details and innuendo that will continue to surface during this investigation. Less obviously, my thoughts go out to those individuals in the Pakistani cricketing fraternity that are not drug users, ball tampers, pitch wreckers or match fixers, that are likely to have their credibility, and therefore livelihoods, come into question through guilt by association. A sad affair for anyone involved, including us supporters of the game...
mello yello Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Always thought those Pakis were a bunch of chokers
stahc Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Always thought those Pakis were a bunch of chokers oh mel.......you leave me gasping at times. heard some rumours today about match fixing and it being exposed by woolmer.
mello yello Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Could have been a punter who lost a bit of dough ...no not Ricky
Steve C Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Could have been a punter who lost a bit of dough Well if it was a Pakistani punter, they picked the wrong target. I guess strangling a whole team would be a tougher task to achieve - at least on foreign soil, so killing the infidel foreigner coach sends a clear message to those who forgot who owns them. Maybe when they get back to Pakistan... D'ya reckon Osama had some money riding on Pakistan winning the World Cup?!
aztec Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 oh mel.......you leave me gasping at times.heard some rumours today about match fixing and it being exposed by woolmer. Apparently he was writing a book which exposed a number of "goings on".
