That one is a mistake, they usually are worse. There is the reasonable CBS watermark plus that dreaded Ten solidmark normally.

Yeah it has, Ten seem to have issues with that voice over thing they do during show credits, TTN at the end they turned volume low and voice over said scope will not be on due to a live telecast of something and took ages for them to turn volume back!, Bondi Was turned down in first 2mins last night and turned back up when it was 9mins into the show.

Is it just me or has the watermark finally been made more transparent?

It certainly has, at this stage it is at least watchable. They still need to reduce it again at least 40% and I would be fine with that... although shoving it to the right would be the ideal solution, this clearly won't happen.

What the heck is going on with Ten they keep changing volume on programs up and down its annoying!

It's non-ratings period. Experiment time. After all, nobody is watching TV during those two weeks. No, seriously. Just look at this and next week's programming. The commercial networks truly believe that nobody is watching at all.

I know I'm not, having looked at today and tonight's programming. My viewing schedule for tonight is all "illegal" downloads of the programs Australia misses out on

Ten are back to the old style - how much better does it look? A nice clean, simple layout with easy to read font and NO WATERMARK! This new blue and yellow looks childish in comparison.

a new to HD. (since last Frid night)

am in Brisbane and havent seen anything on TEN that tells me that the program is in HDTV mode..?!

I actually like that 7 and 9 do tell.. !

Also in your area. The channels run like this:

seven - SD "7 digital" HD "7 HD"

nine - SD "9" HD "9 HD"

ten - SD "10" HD "10"

abc - SD worm logo SD upconverted to 720p has no logo, looks better than the SD .... HD when occasionally broadcast has a "ABC HD" logo

abc2 and SBS don't do HD

Trouble with ten is that they used to show a 10 logo EXCEPT when there was a native HD broadcast, then they would show no logo, which was neat. They they logoed everything and moved the logo to the 4:3 safe area, in other words it is positioned so it can be seen on all the old CRT sets without dropping off the edge of the screen. Sounds like they may be screwing around with things again, here's hoping in Brisbane! :P:P

I hope you are not referring to Torchwood tonight in Brisbane, there is absolutely no difference between the SD and HD channel. (as used to be the case with 7 when they were on 576p)

Something is clearly wrong there, as torchwood is up there with THE BEST HD content currently screening.

Torchwood looks stunning on HD normally. This them samples down well to SD but there should be a very visible difference between SD and HD.

Yes..I saw torchwood for the first time only cuz it was the first HD program that i've seen on ten (since getting my tv on Fri night)

it did look very good on HD. I could tell well for one at the start of the programm channel 10 displayed a HD and also cuz the PQ looked more sharp.

However the best i've seen is miami CSI the colors are stunning!

The colours are hilarious. It's exactly like back when colour TV first arrived and everyone turned the "colour" knob up to full.

I wouldn't call a show populated by people who look like descendants of Oompa-Loompas "stunning"
