emesbee Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 Santana - Black Magic WomanDoug Parkinson - Dear Prudence Rita Coolidge - My Crew Israel Kamakawiwo'ole - Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World And most definitely Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah Cheers Wayne I personally don't agree with the first two. Nothing wrong with Santana's version of Black Magic Woman, but I actually like the original Fleetwood Mac version better. I do prefer Santana's cover of She's Not There though. Dear Prudence? The Beatles version is the only one! 1
Phill451 Posted December 7, 2009 Author Posted December 7, 2009 Hard to go past the beatles, but Nirvana has got my vote.
Saxon Hall Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 Sinead O'Connor "Nothing Compares 2 You" V Prince
proftournesol Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 Little Roger and the Goosebumps - Stairway to Gilligans Island. This manages a great cover of 2 classics - Gilligans Island Theme Song words sung to Stairway to Heaven tune:D on a more serious note: Cowboy Junkies and 'Sweet Jane' & 'Helpless', and Patti Smith also covering Neil Young's 'Helpless'. Los Lobos do a fantastic live cover of The Beatles 'Tomorrow Never Knows'. Whilst on Beatles covers, The Black Keys and 'She Said'. 1
