Bigw Awa 106cm Lcd For $1598

Hi everyone

AWA 106cm LCD TV advertised for $1598 in the current BigW catalogue (ends 7 April).

Does anyone have one of these yet? Any good/bad experiences to report?

The specs are as follows:

* LG/Philips 16:9 widescreen panel

* Resolution 1366x768

* Brightness 500 cd/m2

* Contrast 1600:1

* Response Time 8ms

* Viewing Angle 178 degrees

* HDMI with HDCP support

* Component Video

* PC Multimedia input

* LTW-42D (I assume this is the model number)

These specs look very similar (other than the size of course) to the much-praised Aiko 81cm LCD (which also appears in the current BigW catalogue).

Interestingly, the Aiko is labelled "LTW-32D". That would suggest, would it not, that the Aiko and AWA LCDs come out of the same factory, just with different brand labels?

I definitely searched, couldn't find. (I think something's going wrong with the search for me at the moment. Searching on AWA returns no hits.)

Fair enough. There's a limitation in the forum software that won't allow searches for 3 character (or fewer) searches. This can be a bit of a problem sometimes. There's a workaround in this thread.
