Hi guys,

I have this problem that both my housemate and I have the XB360. I've got my 360 on the bottom floor and he's got his 360 on the first floor.

We both have a wireless router / modem.

Is there a way that both of us can get online without having to fork out $ for the wireless adapter thing for the 360?

Your help is much appreciated.

if you have a router you can run ethernet cables to both consoles from the router. its a more stable connection (i've noticed less lag against US players online) but you may not be able to stream audio/video/photos this way. i cant at least, maybe i am doing something wrong

edit: ps : ive just quoted the first post in a thread

note to self........give yourslef an uppercut kamma

I use the wireless adaptor and can stream up to 1080 no problems from the PC. However I know that a lot of the 1080 files would have smaller bandwidth than say, HD-DVD.

You should be able to do this if your wireless routers support WDS. You put one of the routers into bridge mode. It also helps a lot if both the routers are the same make and ideally even the same model. I tried with two different brands of routers and couldn't get it to work so had to shell out for the 360 wireless adaptor.

i may have misunderstood you post or you have misread my post or didn't quite understand me.

if you have misread my post, i am using a ethernet cable from my wireless router. my pc and HT are in the same room so its easier for me to run a cable. but in doing so i have not been able to stream anything. it doesn't bother me that much because my avr has ipod control with osd for music and i have vga splitter box and a cable from the splitter box to back of my plasma to view avi files, photos etc on it.

so its pretty sweet so i dont really worry about it.

if i have misread yours, are you getting much lag while gaming? streaming was never a problem, just gaming
