digitalj Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 About time the AFL Footy Show on ch9 is now HDcheers laurie But why is it on 9, when they don't broadcast any games?
Eth Nick Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 About time the AFL Footy Show on ch9 is now HDcheers laurie Beautiful. Let's just hope it's gooHd as opposed to cruHd. But why is it on 9, when they don't broadcast any games? It was on nine for years when Seven had sole broadcast rights. I tune out when they go through the team lists - I watch it for the funny, entertainment value, not the serious footy talk.
laurie Posted March 14, 2007 Author Posted March 14, 2007 But why is it on 9, when they don't broadcast any games? Because it's an studio production I assume the clips/outside shots will be up converted but good news never the less cheers laurie
pheggie Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 If it's Melbourne that got a HD makeover maybe Bert's Show and a few others will be in HD soon.
anthonysimilion Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 If it's Melbourne that got a HD makeover maybe Bert's Show and a few others will be in HD soon. Not that I watch any of them, but a lot of Nine's studio productions are from Melbourne, if it is true, then this is great news.
wheelz Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 i thought it was hd last year, dosen't matter the main thing is its back and so is footy
waveformkid Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 NRL footy show from TCN had been had for about 4 years now... All inserts are shot on digi beta and upconverted via switcher.
LBM Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Where did you get this from? All the guides are still listing it as WS so it would be good news if it is true. Maybe Temptation and other Melbourne based shows will also go HD... assuming it is correct.

digitalj Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Only Listed as HD for Brisbane and Sydney, everywhere else will be SD
LBM Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 That doesn't make sense since it is a Melbourne based show. I think there is just a glitch on the guide but again, I hope I am wrong.
digitalj Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 That doesn't make sense since it is a Melbourne based show. I agree, but that's what I got from Yourtv.com.au, I looked at every city, and Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth didn't show up as being in HD, but Brisbane and Sydney did.
colvs Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 The Herald Sun's TV guide shows it as being widescreen only
digitalj Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 The Herald Sun's TV guide shows it as being widescreen only What state are you in? EDIT: Don't worry, by searching your posts I found you live in Melbourne, Victoria, yes it only came up as WS when I looked up Melbourne's tv guide at yourtv.com.au, but Brisbane and Sydney had it coming up as HD.
pheggie Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Channel Nine's Digital Guide channel doesn't say it's in HD in Melbourne but says the NRL one is in HD. So It's possible the internet guides are a mistake. We'll have to wait and see.

waveformkid Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 The studio at 9 GTV has HD cameras BUT nothing else. No upgrade as yet
wheelo Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 The NRL show in Sydney appears to be HD but no DD audio. I thought this is the same studio as the Today show? Which has DD audio
