Everything last-gen is new-gen when it comes to the PS3 and its suspiciously absent rumble feature -- at least that's the impression we got from God of War Game Director Cory Barlog, who apparently told 1UP that God of War 3 for PS3 will be 1080p and, more importantly, have vibration (aka rumble, aka force feedback, aka what Sony's been making piss-poor excuses for not having in the PS3 for quite some time). Obviously this is absolutely not a shock considering that Sony and Immersion finally settled and made nice; and we're more than happy to finally have the feature, we're just experiencing a dash of lingering resentment about the facts that a) Sony hadn't been so disingenuous about why the feature wasn't included in the first place (including claims of technical infeasibility) and  everybody's going to have to buy expensive new controllers for that "last-gen" feature.

1080p and rumble, now we are talking...

I await with great interest as to how Sony spin this and how they plan to put the controllers in the hands of gamers..

Are they going to replace the SUXASSES packed with consoles with an updated version or are they going to try and flog them off as an extra accessory: PS3 SUXASSES Ultimate controller for $80??

For those who can't wait til they release a rumble six axis controller:

PS2 Controller to PS3 Convert Cable

I thought I'd keep one of the PS2 controllers for "rumble" when playing PS2 games..

I don't know if the PS2 controllers would be compatible with say God of War 3 ????/

Skid, whats with the all the multi-thread posting with the same info lately? Stating to feel a little like spam.

Not having a go, but why so much of it?

huh, it was a legit question. All the massive fonts and cross posting is getting a bit much and a bit like spamming.

That's a low blow that was totally uncalled for and I expected a little more from you.

I must be losing my eyesight and memory :D

Nah jus kidding... I'm using a rather large screen, and the font doesn't appear that large from where I sit....

I was just asking if you could use a PS2 controller (with that particular cable) with the PS3 game God of War 3 considering it has rumble.

I didn't relalise I had asked it previously???

Then again, I never thought I had to explain all my actions to you momaw .. feels like the gestapo...chill out man... a bad day at work?

.....Cream Puff......

Oh my God, I just realised what you were getting at. I'm so sorry. I'm flattered and all, but I don't swing that way. I know it takes alot of courage, and I'm sure someone is out there who will accept you for the great catch that you are, but I have to say no.
