G'day. I've got an chipped XBOX I'm no longer using. It includes an upgraded hard drive (I think 120GB not sure), and a recent XBMC installed. It includes the xbox remote and one controller. Also can through in an svideo pack (with optical) - geniune. And a component pack (with optical) - 3rd party. (You'll need to supply your own optical cable - I've reused this elsewhere). I'll need to see what this is generally worth, so I'll get back to you with a price. (Feel free to make an offer). Cheers, Craig P.S. Also sent via email. P.S.S. In Sydney, so would need to post.
sulimo Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 You know...you don't actually need a chipped one. My non-chipped one certainly works fine.
Mr Flibble Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Why don't you buy an unmodded box and do a softmod? I softmodded my Xbox & installed XBMC in a couple of hours. Softmod cost = cost of an exploitable game (& that's if you don't already have one). (Technically you also need to know someone with a modded box & a memory unit).
malh786 Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 (Technically you also need to know someone with a modded box & a memory unit). Its possible even without that, if you are prepared to improvise a little. You can make / get a controller-to-usb adapter and then use a compatible usb flashdrive. Xbox accessories like the memory unit are hard to find nowadays. When I did mine, I didnt have a memory unit and couldnt find one in any shops, so had to use the usb flashdrive method. Worked like a charm.
Mr Flibble Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 You're spot on. What I should have said was that you also need a way of getting a couple of 'saved game' files onto the HDD. There are various methods ranging from free --> expensive & also easy --> requires a soldering iron & an old controller cable.
