uforia Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 I currently have 15m of subwoofer RCA cable of fairly decent quality. Would cutting it down to 8m be worth doing? I guess what I am asking is if RCA cable is ok to go 15m and that cutting it down to 8m will not make any difference? I know with HDMI it's abit more of an issue....
Guest EZYHD Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Should not be a problem as long as you re connect the fittings correctly.
???? Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Unless you have a decent bit of experience in modifying cables, my suggestion would be to leave it alone, especially if you are planning on shortening it for any sort of performance gain. Coil it up a little and tidy the excess away - you will end up with a better quality signal than modifying it IMO...
uforia Posted March 13, 2007 Author Posted March 13, 2007 Sorry what I meant was being able to reduce the length to 8m with new cable but if there is not real gain then I'll save my money,....
