mil098 Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 WOOT!Finally, the movie that forced my hand into buying a PS3. The transfer better be good, it's cost me $650 to see this movie Andrew. It's a good, but not perfect. http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/casinoroyale.html I'm waiting for it was well.
Felix.. Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 I thought you guys with imported PS3s were going to register locally for your free copy of Casino Royale. Can't you wait a couple of weeks? The answer is obviously no.
Skid_MacMarx Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 I can and will wait!!! I gather it will be a Region B copy.. my copy of Monster House, I have purchased in anticipation is region B.
AndrewW Posted March 13, 2007 Author Posted March 13, 2007 I thought you guys with imported PS3s were going to register locally for your free copy of Casino Royale. Can't you wait a couple of weeks? Bah bugger that. If I end up with the Aussie version as well I'll whack it on ebay Andrew. Edited to say: This is the movie that convinced me to get a PS3, I'm not waiting another 2 weeks, and then 6-8 week for delivery
sulimo Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Bah bugger that. Why exactly? Assuming it isn't region locked so region A players can play the thing. I mean I doubt there's going to be any difference between the two different versions.

I mean I doubt there's going to be any difference between the two different versions. Go back and read my edit. And that's two rather large assumptions you are making. This is their first big blockbuster release, I expect Region coding to be in full swing. Andrew.
MELso Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Actually reports trickling through from the UK suggest the disc will be region free... Edit - scrap that this thread confirms region locking...
AndrewW Posted March 13, 2007 Author Posted March 13, 2007 Actually reports trickling through from the UK suggest the disc will be region free... That's great if it is. A bigger market to sell off my Aussie copy to Andrew.
MELso Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Alas not - and what's worse is that there is a distinct possibility the UK version is censored slightly to tone down the torture scene. This may mean that, if Australia gets the same version as the UK, there's no way for an Australian consumer to get an uncut copy of the film...
