I tried recording Foxtel using VirtualVCR and FusionHDTV S-video input with pretty good results. Problem is when I use VirtualVCR Scheduler to record with timer, first schedule works fine but since the first instance of VirtualVCR won't switch off after recording finished so second schedule will give an error message "program already running" and won't start. Also those shutdown, hibenate, suspend..... options seems to have no effect when recording is done. How can I fix that? Thanks.

Hi,

If you haven't found a (proper) solution.

I don't use VirtualVCR, but if you use this as a post-capture task it should s/d VirtualVCR:

"Taskkill /F /IM VirtualVCR.exe"

If your PC won't shutdown, etc. after, you could try creating a batch file with the above line and then add ""C:\Program Files\WebScheduler\psshutdown" -c -d -t 60" (note quotes around file name) make this the post-capture task.

You can find psshutdown.exe on the net, there are other options such as hibernate, etc.

There's also a windows command (called, strangely enough, shutdown), but I prefer psshutdown 'cause it displays a dialog box allowing you cancel the command if you're still using the PC.

Hope this is of some help.

Thank you so much dRdoS7. Just found out there is a QUIT ON STOP function with VirtualVCR so my first problem should be fixed. As for hibernation after job done, I will try what you suggest when I got home. Thanks.

Found another version called VirtualVCR2 Scheduler which seems to work fine with hibernation. My problem is all gone now. Great! Thanks.
