Has anyone know of any HDMI switches that support the 1.3 standard?

There was a Joytech one mentioned in another thread, but I'm wondering if there are any others.

Wouldnt any hdmi switch work with hdmi 1.3?

The switch shouldnt be parsing the data, it should be simply passing it through.

True if it is only doing a mechanical hard wire switch, but I don't think any do that.

They are electronic switches with bandwidth limitations.

This will do HDMI v1.3 1080P pass-through switching

http://www.anchorbaytech.com/products/systems/dvdo_vs4.php

It should be available locally.

This is not a HDMI 1.3 switch.

It only has a bandwidth of 165Mhz, instead of 340Mhz.

The search continues.....

Certainly if the source was sending converted pcm deflepper; If it was an unconverted true hd /dtshd ma bitstream hdmi ver1.3 is needed instead . As you say if the hd/blu player has the dts hd/true hd decoders the lower hdmi ver1.0/1/2 is fine. :D

edit ; typing when you posted jel. If you want ihd for hd dvd or java live to work for blu ray you need the player to mix the internet content with the disc output. This means a pcm output and not a 1.3 340mhz output . So if you want the amp to do the decoding you miss out on the interactive content. ps blu ray are going to bring in advanced authoring for this once blu ray java 1.1 comes good around june

The extra bandwidth is more for the video (Deepcolor etc) than the audio.

Yep, plenty of switches but I didn't see any HDMI 1.3 ones

Yes indeed jel.Just pointing out [this is a minefield] that a hdmi ver 1.1/2 switcher like beejay said is adequate.Deep colour is not a standard of either hd dvd or bluray. If you use hdmi ver 1.3 [if this is important to you] you lose the internet interactivity of both hd formats because it cannot be mixed as pcm in the player.

IMO ver1.3 was introduced to make a buck out of dolby truehd/dtshd ma decoders in amps when you get the same sound quality when the player decodes to pcm itself [ide rather have nifty i hd features like tokyo drift  ] Anyway ;best of luck :D

 Ah, I get what you mean by the interactive HD now.

Hmmm.... I was only looking at 1.3 because it was the latest standard.

I just didn't want to by a switch now and have a bunch of 1.3 switches come out in a few months time.

I purchased this one which indicates that it supports HDMI 1.3 and HDCP capable devices

I saw the same HDMI switch last night when I was searching the Internet. I rang them today, and unfortunately, they don't have any stock at the moment. How do you find the switch? Can it really pass 1080p signal? Do you notice any interference or jitters (meaning, if a clean signal is passed)?

Also, what did you pay for this?

Thanks,

K William Ma

I purchased from Harvey Norman for $250.00 (RRP on box was $299.00)

Haven't set up yet as need to purchase some more HDMI cables and waiting for the PS3 to rock up next Friday! Purchase from HN, keep the receipt and if it doesn't do what it says, take it back! It was about $70.00 cheaper than i could get the Belkin for!

Sounds like a fair price. Hopefully, it'll work well for you.

If only my video scaler could pass thru 1080p signal. By right, it should, as I don't want it to any type of processing.

Where is your PS3 coming from?

I picked mine up in Tokyo (60GB model), and it's awesome at 1080p!
