smeg888 Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 My inlaws have finally decided to buy a 50" plasma and are going with the Pioneer, I've been very happy with the one we have. Now mother inlaw says "how about we get a new smaller TV for the bedroom as well" - she's not that well and spends a bit of time in bed. Problem I've got is that I know quite a bit about the plasmas but nothing about the smaller LCDs. They are looking for something around 26" with inbuilt digital tuner. The main issue for me is that the PQ has to be pretty good as I don't want to hear "the big TV is great but that little one is horrible". And even worse - "you told us to buy it" Any suggestions greatly appreciated, they are not looking to sacrifice the quality for the $s. regards
Grahameh Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 I would also like some advice on a 26inch LCD. I need one for a caravan so it shouldn't be too flimsy. I will use it in the bedroom when not travelling. It doesn't need a built in tuner. I also have a very nice Panasonic 42 inch so I don't want a bad picture on the LCD. I also don't want terrible sound. Doesn't seem to be very much discussion about the smaller sets on the forum anymore. I note you haven't had a reply yet. I have done searches on the site without any success.
MELso Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 The Panasonic TX-26LXD600A is probably the pick of the bunch and can be had for under $1500 from somewhere like The Electric Discounter...
