Hiya Folks,

Had an issue with the second STB I have purchased (first got a Hotchip HDMI STB however that carked it and after two replacements demanded getting another item, so settled on the HDSTB200 from Palsonic.) Anyways I am using the HDMI cable to connect to my Panasonic 42" Plasma with optical audio going to the surround sound.

My problem is that recently the picture started to flciker (only when watching TV not on DVD etc) and now there is no picture at all. The audio is still coming through the STB but it would seem the video is not working. I have tested with some AV cables and the picture works fine. GHave also now replaced the HDMI cable in case that was the problem, but no such luck.

Any ideas on what else it could be? My next thought is to take the STB back to HB's and try and hook it up to one of their display models..

I am getting extremely frustrated as this is the second STB that has had issues and I just want to enjoy my plasma again!!

Please help!

Mate what do you expect with a brand like Palsonic??? get yourself a well recognised brand and you won't have to put up with the frustration of not being able to enjoy your plasma. Try the Pioneer or the Sony.

Cheers for the crap responses.

Hotchip was actually recommended by a number of people on here. It just so happened the HDMI model was an absolute abortion. Previous models were awesome.

I will take it back to JB's then and see about a different box, or maybe just jump on the Topfield bandwagon since we may as well just go by what others say (on little or no testing of other boxes)?!?
