keiron Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 now isn't that interesting.....and there doesn't seem to be a serial or USB port on the back panel, apparently it's a CD-Rom upgrade. http://www.docs.sony.com/release/BDPS1_upgradeinfo.pdf
betty boop Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 hardly suprsing is it ? this player is really long in the tooth now. was the original prototype, probably will never even be releasd in oz there is already a cheaper player slated by sony that does all this one does. wouldnt be wasting any time with this old prototype player at the present myself.
ajm1503559545 Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Not a huge deal really. I mean I don't mind giving Sony a knock when they screw up (as they seem to manage very regularly ) but an upgrades not really all that unusual. My HD-A1 had a firmware upgrade the day it arrived and I think this was the third one released by that stage. It's when an "upgrade" screws up something that does work trying to fix something that doesn't work or to prevent the thing actually being useful (ie the PSP) that it's worth really sinking the slipper in.
