Sadly the second "Big Blue" (cuttlefish) tonight was not hi-def either. Not even particularly good SD.

But at least the up-convert doesn't have a watermark :-)

Still a fascinating subject, and I'll watch it later.

I don't support anyone outside Perth got an HD feed?

Only 'Big Blue' and 'The Bridge' were HD. Nothing else will be HD.

That's a shame... But at least I got a nice capture of "The Bridge" to marvel at once I get my full-HD display (a purchase that's been indefinitely postponed due to Sony and Samsung's LCD panel issues and Sony's monetary greed  )

You sure it wasn't just someone at ABC forgetting to push the right button? Just asking.

Yes I am sure, I don't just happen to 'guess' when there will be an ABC HD transmission.

(except maybe when I made the incorrect assumption that the entire series would be HD - I was actually only informed about the first episode, so it was all my doing)

There are a couple of other Australian HD broadcasts coming up, but airdates not confirmed yet.

You can look forward to the 13/14th of May for 2 x 2 hr HD of the 'Bastard Boys". The first HD ABC 'drama' about the Patrick's union fight.

I don't normaly like 'drama'/'politcal style' programs, but this is great.

The last 3 (I think) eps of the West Wing are good too.
