Chesty Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 I only made the comment because I was surprised at your reaction to the refund posting considering that there were several posts just prior to this alerting people to the price guarantee policy. Heck I didn't know there was such a policy till I read it on this thread. A mate of mine bought 8 BD discs in the past week from Amazon and I passed it onto him as well and he has emailed (and been approved) for a refund too.So this smartarse obviously bothers to read the thread closer than you did. My apologies! Matt Funny enough i dont actually absorb every single post in every thread i read so if i forgot that this was the case and reacted accordingly then so what? Other people KINDLY pointed it out to me. If it bothered you that much that i reacted that way then why even reply? Mate this forum doesnt need antagonists like yourself...remember that before you post crap like that in future.
AndrewW Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 come on guys, more less Save the for the trolls Andrew.

litspd Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 I just ordered Stealth and Into The Blue, pure popcorn action, leave your brain at the door please, came to just over $35USD. Good to see some decent prices for HD movies. The additional 10% off that I acquired awhile ago for HD-DVD purchases makes it even better.
cazzy Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Howdy everyone, Not sure if anyone will be able to give me a definite answer but here goes... I'll be getting a PS3 at the end of this year (Nov-Dec) because of my HSC but seeing as these Blu-Ray movies are so cheap, is it worth buying them now? Or will the Blu-Ray movies be this price in 9 months anyway? Cheers! Also, are they all region-free at the moment? How can I be sure that the ones I choose aren't coded? How much is postage? Thanks =)

Thanks =) Tough answer, no one can really speculate on cost at the end of the year. By then the format war could be over (not likely) and the prices would obviously be effected by that - for better or worse. Too many variables. However, one thing I can tell you is that blu-ray discs are region coded. Look here to see if any you want are region free. You could buy those without worry. To be honest, I probably wouldn't be buying titles 9 months before I plan on getting a player. The format could be dead by then, new versions (of the movies) could be out, to many variables. Just my opinion though.

cazzy Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Ah ok cool. Yeah I agree with what everyone has said - thanks for replying! And momaw - good point about the Blu-ray Vs. HD-DVD war, I kind of forgot about that and the fact that only one may be standing at the end of this year! Thanks everyone, now back to the books =)

momaw Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 And this http://www.cambridgeaudio.com/summary.php?...DMI+AV+Receiver I had the same dilema between those too. Ended up going the Yamaha and it is brilliant.
momaw Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Thanks Mo I know I'm OT but what was the deciding factor for you, I've heard the Yammy and will demo the Cambridge tomorrow From recollection, the HDMI is video only. Don't know if they have changed that.
MELso Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Hmmm... quite a few HD-DVDs have also dropped to 50% off, including The World's Fastest Indian and The Architect...
