Hi everyone,

I currently have my Pac Satellite Set Top Box set up to my hitachi Plasma with the Scart Cable with the box set to Component output. What i am wondering is if the Second Scart Output on the Set top Unit puts out component as well or just composite output

The reason i am asking is I have 2 TV's Both 42" plasma's on either side of my lounge room wall. I have the fox connected in my family room but i want to run it through the wall to the Lounge room (Home Theatre)and connect it there via component. (Basically if there is a movie i want to watch then i can sit in my recliner)

I know we are not suppose to do this as it is redistribution but i really dont want to do it via RF.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Guys

Only the TV SCART outputs Component, you can get active component video splitters (ie distribution amps), some AVR's have multiple split outputs.

Ok thats cool.... Does it at least output S-Video?????

S-Video is better quality than Composite and probably good enough for the time i will use it.....

Just re checked, the DS420 can only output composite on the VCR SCART if Component or RGB is slected on the TV SCART.

Well looks like it will just be Composite in then....

Better than RF at least.....

And it still should be widescreen if it is set up that way???

Thanks Heaps...

I guess the other option as you said is a Component splitter / amplifier to split it between the 2 TV's

Is there a Cheap way of doing this????
