Livingthedream Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Hi Guys, I have a hitachi panel with DVI in and a Toppie HDSTB with HDMI out. I am trying to run a HDMI-DVI cable (jaycar cable) from one to the other but the picture isnt 100% clear. It is like thin lines scrolling through the picture, and on the far left i also get this funny lines. I have taken a snapshot of the panel --> http://img98.imageshack.us/my.php?image=p1...3640x480sd1.jpg The lines you see through the picture are scrolling, not static like in picture Any ideas what could be causing this and how to fix? This is also the second cable, so it cant be a cable issue i assume. HELP...as i will be really disappointed if my DVI cant be utilized with HDMI AL - If your reading this, also took your advice on tidying up my rack and it looks 100% better. Am going to keep it now. thank heaps
alcoop1503559994 Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Must be the HDMI-DVI causing an issue. Maybe the DVI input on that panel wasn't designed for such high bandwidth, I dunno. Why don't you just use component cables? Or have you run out of inputs.
Livingthedream Posted March 5, 2007 Author Posted March 5, 2007 Was planning not to have to run any video through my processer and have all direct connections I have 2 component and 1 DVI on panel eg. DVD - component STB - component or HDMI/DVI PS3 - Component or HDMI/DVI Now i will just use my prepro and run through component i guess. I just couldnt understand what would cause this. ONce i get my Ps3, will try the HDMI on that, then i can be certain it is a panel issue. Funny thought the panel is 1080i, can receive 1080i signals through component, and DVi just not with a HDMI-DVI cable
