Shutterbug Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 What is happening re Prime TV HD tranasmissions to the south coast, including Narooma? Having just had the serviceman put in a new amp in the strata development I am now able for the first receive Prime TV Digital. Channel 60 has been allocated for HD but I went to tune into a program last night which was advertised as being available in HD but found it was only SD. Why mark the channel as HD when it isn't available? Also, the ABC and SBS never mark any programs in the TV Guide as being in HD,but the ABC do promote one program now and again as being HD on air. What's the story here?
digitalj Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 PRIME HD is only 576p when native HD is available, and 576i at all other times. ABC does have the odd native HD broadcast, but all other times it's upconverted. SBS HD is 576p, and always upconverted, currently there is no native HD available for SBS.
