Mediastar Hdt-1100

hello

i just got a mediastar HDT1100.

but am having trouble when connecting anthing to th AUX.

when i run say dvd player throught it, i get about 5 lines from top to bottom about 10cm apart

on the screen.

is this a problem with the unit.

i have connected a vcr and another dvd player to it and all have the same problem.

now also having problems with it going of every 40mins.

then i have to unplug it to get to go again.

seems to me i have got a lemon.
