Gino
I'm keeping my XA1 as a souvenir... "look son, I had the very first generation HD-DVD player, one of the first ones in the country, and the first one with a HD-SDI mod" Good times.. good times I'm going to wait for at least 3rd generation before buying another. betty boop
I'm keeping my XA1 as a souvenir... And the XA1 really is such a well built thing and fully capable for my needs so why upgrade ?. if 3rd gen provides a good reason to upgrade then yeah will do a re-think. probably more sense me putting my money into a blu-ray player at this stage if anythign half decent rather than half baked comes along
T800
Thanks for all the pM's Ok, Im looking at $600, as it cost me about $850 and is basically brand new. Has been used about 20 times and inludes a step down, HD DVD and as new in box with hdmi cable. Its basically the same as the HDXE1 but without version 1.3 hdmi (which is no bug deal because HD DVD does nto support deep colour anyway and offers 1080i (again is no big deal if you tv can't output 1080p or if your tv is 1080p, then there is no difference) _________________

T800
Nothing for the moment as I will be restricted to a 68cm 4:3 Tv ! I might get a xbox 360 add-on so I can watch the extras and will be ok for a basic hd dvd, just a pitty you cant get proper DD+ or TrueHD. Other than that my next HD DVD player will be in 8 months or so depending on which house/land i choose in the coming weeks.
